THITIPON PHOTIRUK

WELCOME TO SEA-TEACHER BATCH 3 🇯🇵
University of Tsukuba
About Me
My name is Thitipon Photiruk . You can also call me Rin . I am 20 years old. I am a Khon kaen university student (KKU),Thailand. My major is science education and I take responsibility for teaching chemistry in this program!
Participating in this project has given me great things and invaluable experiences.

Why I choose SEA-Teacher program
I chose this project because I wanted to be a teacher. Being a teacher for me, gaining experience is very important. This is because being a teacher you have to deal with unexpected situations and must gradually adapt to the environment and students that are always changing. I believe that going with this project will allow me to practice my skills as a better teacher.
I had high hopes for my participation in this project. And it didn't disappoint me at all. I made a new friend ,cute student and teaching experiences that are different from teaching in my country.
What I am doing in this project
Observing
I had the opportunity to observe teaching in the chemistry subject. A total of 5-6 times before actually teaching. It results in us being able to understand the teaching context. attracting students Class control by teachers who teach the subject very well. Teaching here The teacher will always walk around the room checking the eyes of the students. To create interaction with students while teaching and check understanding by randomly asking students one-on-one questions. Including creating a fun atmosphere to make the atmosphere in the room good for study. I was very impressed with this teacher's teaching. And he is my advisor while I was there

Teaching
I was assigned to teach chemistry. As for Basic chemistry class and advanced chemistry class, I teach in rooms 1-A, 1-C, and 1-D. In my teaching, I tought 2 periods. My teaching will be divided into 2 parts: Experiments and lectures I needed to control the time of the experiment very well in order to be able to explain the lecture in time. This is a good way to practice teaching skills. After teaching, I would receive feedback from my advisor in order to recognize errors and be able to improve them in the next teaching.
Homeroom
The homeroom here is divided into 2 sections. It is in the morning which starts at 9.00am. and in the afternoon starting at 3.15pm. As for my responsibilities during homeroom ,I have the responsibility of checking students' attendance in the morning. And talk about things that need to be done that day and in the afternoon talk about work and life or give ideas to students.

More Activities
Other activities that I have done
Lecture with Prof. Dr. Isoda and Prof Dr. Nomura
It is a lecture about University of Tsukuba and what is a good teacher to me .This is a very good explanation, giving us a picture and being able to use the ideas when we were real teacher n the future.

Open Research Forum
This is a very big and important event. Because there will be teachers from all over Japan attending to listen to students' presentations and ask questions. It was a very good opportunity for me to have the opportunity to be a part of the visitors to this event.

IMPRESSION
I have many impressive things. Thanks to this project

CHALLENGES
The challenge for me is
1. Different cultures I have trouble understanding cultures that are different from my country. As a result, sometimes I don't realize I've done something wrong or done it unintentionally.
2. Lesson plans and teaching Creating lesson plans and teaching is very challenging for me. Because of the teaching process and teaching sequence And designing it properly is very difficult for me.

Finally, I would like to thank all the students and teachers who welcomed me warmly and helped me when I had problems. Being a part of SEA-Teacher student has given me many valuable things. I really appreciate it.
